Mode of Action:
¡¡¡¡Thifensulfuron methyl, a selective post-emergence herbicide, can
be absorbed by foliage, stems and roots and translocated through out
the plant. It can restrain the synthesis of valine and isoleucine,
prevent the cell from splitting and kill the weeds cease growth and
then die in 1 to 3 weeds after treatment. It can also rapidly breakdown
on soil surface and has no injury on the second planting crop.
Toxicity:
¡¡¡¡The compound is a low toxicity herbicide. Acute oral LD50(adult
rat):>5000mg/kg; the acute dermal LD50(rabbit):>2000mg/kg.
It has slight irritation to the eyes in rabbit. The inhalation LC50(rat):>7.9mg/L
air.
